Glamping Retreat

“In oneself lies the whole world and if you know how to look and learn, the door is there and the key is in your hand. Nobody on earth can give you either the key or the door to open, except yourself.” ― Jiddu Krishnamurti.

Over one hundred acres to enjoy with nature trails to explore, a beautiful pond surrounded by evergreen forest and a bountiful organic vegetable garden.

Enjoy winter skating or summer fishing on the pond, sit on the little dock or take out our wee little boat. You can hike, snowshoe and cross country ski here as well.

We are just outside Blackville Village limits, far enough away to have all the nature you need. We spot Bald Eagles, Geese, Ducks, Deer and Moose right in our backyard. And if that isn’t enough we have a little family farm so you can visit with chickens, pigs and cows.

Classes are held in various locations on the property. From the picturesque apple orchard to the rustic stage or round the campfire, it’s a lovely place to practice with your sangha. Check out our schedule to see what is happenning.

We will be adding a dreamy wood fire sauna to the property this August!

Our indoor studio is currently under construction slated to be opened in 2022. Heated by wood stove in the winter and a full kitchen to serve delicious meals for our workshop students. We are on pins and needles while we patiently wait for our anticipated opening!

Teachers and groups interested in booking the use of our property are very welcome to inquire.

Choose to stay three different ways:

Our camping area is adjacent to the pond by trail and right in the apple orchard. Plenty of sunny or shady spots to place your tent. The terrain is soft grass and we do not allow vehicles to park at the sites but are only steps away at the designated parking.

We have a rustic wooden outhouse and a fun outdoor shower to enjoy.

We are completely off grid camping so no electricity or running water at the sites. We do have electricity available at the main building as well as water if needed.

Our water is quite refreshing and delicious from our well.

Campers are welcome to join in our community classes that run weekly as part of their stay. Private classes or wellness treatments must be booked ahead to ensure availability.

Karma Yoga

Karma yoga (voluntary service, or seva) is the practice of serving with no idea of agency or reward. It allows us to transform our daily activities into spiritual practice, as we offer our services for the benefit of others.

Karma yoga leads to the removal of negative qualities such as anger, greed, jealousy and fear. With commitment and over time, selflessness, purity of heart and humility develop. The result of karma yoga is the eradication of the sense of separateness. Selfishness diminishes; tolerance, compassion and love manifest. Without these qualities, no spiritual development can take place. The practice of karma yoga, by giving natural expression to devotion and wisdom, provides an excellent opportunity to go deeper into spiritual practices and at the same time to be of great service to others.

Join us for three seasons of karma yoga, stay for as little as a day or enjoy the summer while deepening your practice.

Participants will enjoy accommodation in our glamping tents providing they are not rented by visitors. Participants are able to set up their tents in our campgrounds. Brunch and dinner will be provided.

Karma Yoga includes gardening and grounds keeping, preparing of meals, cleaning and minor maintenance.
